a brief history

BOWIE, MARYLAND

JUNE 1993

i’m born in maryland when the sun and moon are both in cancer, so the crab is a heavy influence on my early years. 🦀

i am a pretty cute baby, tbh.
this does not last very long.

most of my time here is focused on live-action-role-playing the harry potter books and learning as much as i can about dragons (which are totally real, btw).

MESA, ARIZONA

OCTOBER 2004

my family packs up and moves to arizona and i am PISSED OFF.

i also unfortunately experience being both a preteen and teenager during this period, but i do figure out that i like acting a lot!!!

TUCSON, AZ

AUGUST 2011

i move to tucson, az for college, which i recommend everyone try at least once.

i start out as a major in the acting program but switch to creative writing halfway through school, and i discover improv — which i love perhaps more than anything.

i also figure out that i really like TV and movies (making them, watching them, i’ll take whatever i can get) and adopt my cat, frank. (i love him maaaaaybe* more than i love improv. )

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

JULY 2016

as an ostensibly grown adult human woman, i pack up my small life and take it all to the midwest to Do More Improv Than I Ever Thought Possible.

i quickly discover i absolutely hate the cold and start plotting my move to a warmer climate while having the absolute time of my life doing make-em-ups onstage with my friends.

my favorite places to perform are iO chicago (because i love their style of teaching but also because it’s where i worked my day job so easy commute) and logan square improv (because my friends built it and it’s the warmest, supportive, most fun space to perform in all of the contiguous united states and if you’re still reading this you should definitely see a show there ASAP).

(also i adopt my other cat beans!!!!)

LOS ANGELES, CA

FEBRUARY 2022

i pile into the car with frank, beans, and my partner joe and drive around the country for a few months before finally moving into a hollywood apartment down the street from the walk of fame.

i love taking the bus and the train and complaining about the cold when it is 60 degrees outside!

i also love playing board games, hosting parties and dinners for my friends, and both the scream and real housewives franchises. i do a lot of cat sitting and web design during the day but sometimes background work or whatever someone will let me do on a set (👀)

i also do make-em-ups onstage with my friends whenever i can, usually at the yard theater or the clubhouse!
